Hello John and Doves,
The month of Cheshvan or
Marcheshvan ('mar' means bitter) is the eighth month of
the Jewish calendar. The first day of this month
begins on sunset October 18 and ends at sunset October
19. Using the chabad.org and torahcalendar.com
calendar. (This month was named "Bul" before the
Babylonian captivity.)
The number eight in the
Bible is the number of a new beginning...of Resurrection
and Regeneration.
The 17th of Cheshvan is
the day the rains began to fall - Noah and his family and
an ark full of animals survived this world flood.
"In the six hundredth
year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second
month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth,
and the floodgates of the heavens were opened."
Genesis 7:11
"Whereby the world that
then was, being overflowed with water, perished. 2
Peter 3:6
Once by water, once
by fire:
"But the day of the Lord will come
like a thief in the night, in which the heaves will
pass away with a great noise, and the elements will
melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works
that are in it will be burned up." 2
Peter 3:10
The flood began on 17
Cheshvan and ended on 27 Cheshvan - Noah and the animals
exited the ark. "Because Noah's Flood began and
ended during this month, Cheshvan, is generally regarded
as "mar" - a time of judgment and hardship.
Historically, Cheshvan has been a time that has brought
much suffering to the Jewish people throughout the
ages."

חשון - The month of Cheshvan
This year, 17 Cheshvan
begins at sunset November 3 and ends at sundown November
4. This is election day in The United
States. There will most certainly be major mayhem
across the country. "Mayhem" refers to "a
situation that is not controlled or ordered, when people
are behaving in a disorganized, confused, and often
violent way ...any deliberate destruction or
violence."

The harvests come to
an end in the month of Cheshvan in Israel.
And on 7 Cheshvan
(October 25), the Jews begin to pray for rain.
The month of Cheshvan
brought in the last harvests:
"Farmers would be
finishing with their grape and fig harvests, olives
would be gathers, the fattened sheep would be
slaughtered, and the sugarcane and dates would ripen,
plowing would begin and the rains would loosen up the
hard dry ground. During October were the heavier
rains known in Scripture as "the former rains".
"Then shall we know, if
we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is
prepared as the morning, and He shall come unto us as
the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth."
Hosea 6:3
The prophet Micah
warns us of a time when 'The faithful people have all
vanished'; and now not one honest person is left
on the earth - all of them lie in wait for bloodshed
and every man hunts his brother with a net - do not
trust a neighbor; family members rise up against each
other. The day the watchmen have been watching
for has come. This all occurs after the harvest
of the grapes and figs. Micah 7.
Because this is the end
of the harvests, and the anniversary month of the
removal/protection of Noah and his family from the
destroying flood, and it is a month 'reserved for the
Messiah' and eight is the number of resurrection and
regeneration and He will come again to us as "the former
rains", and Micah prophesied about people vanishing from
the earth after the grape/fig harvest ....maybe
this month will bring our removal/protection - Rapture -
from the coming destruction by fire/the
Tribulation. "Because just as it was in the days
of Noah, so it will be when the Son of Man comes."
Matthew 24:37
