"REPLY TO GINO -- What's The Difference Between Blood & The Blood Of A Dead Man?"

Hi Gino,

In reply to your 9/29/2019 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/sep2019/gino929-6.htm about what is the difference in the blood in Rev. 8:3 and the blood in Rev. 16:3, the blood of a living person contains oxygen which keeps all the cells and organs in the body alive and functioning. The blood of a dead man would contain no oxygen because he no longer has the ability to breathe oxygen into his lungs.  A fish breathes by taking water into its mouth and forcing it out through the gill passages.  A water molecule is made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.  Without oxygen in the water, a fish would die because there would be no oxygen in the water to breathe in. So when the sea became as the blood of a dead man and every living soul died in the sea, it would be from a lack of oxygen in the water.  Levitcus 17:11 says, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."

Revelation 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Revelation 16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
