Hello John and Doves,
Soon we will be entering the 8th month of the Jewish calendar - the month of Cheshvan/Heshvan/Marheshvan (post Babylonian exile) or Bul (I Kings 6:38) (pre Babylonian exile).
Bul is the Canaanite name (pre-Exile) and signified the month of rain, or the start of the rainy season; it was also the month of harvest and means to 'bring forth' or 'month of bountiful harvests'. Solomon's Temple was completed in the month of Bul. The Hebrew word is בול, which comes from the verb 'to bring forth', as the 'whole process of labour'/per Strong's). Olives were harvested in this month and grains (barely and wheat) are planted for the first harvest of the following year.
Cheshvan is the Hebrew name and does not occur in the Bible. The Hebrew root word for Cheshvan is 'chash', and in Hebrew this means to be still or quiet.
Cheshvan is the only month with no mitzvot or special days. This is because this month has been reserved for the time of Mashiach or Messiah. It's often refereed to as 'the month of Mashiach'.
"The number eight in the Bible signifies Resurrection and Regeneration. It is the number of a new beginning.... Eight is the personal number of Jesus. When we add together the letter values of the name of Jesus in Greek we get 888. Jesus was called The Christ, the numeric values of this title is 1480 (185x8). He was Savior which has the value of 1408 (2x88x88). Jesus is also Lord which again is a multiple of eight being 800 (100x8). Messiah has the numeric value of 656 (82x8). Jesus also called Himself the Son of Man. The term occurs 88 times and is valued at 2960 (370x8). Jesus said "I am the truth": the numeric value of "the truth" is 64 (8x8). The last book in the Bible is the Revelation of Jesus Christ which has exactly 888 Greek words. All the Dominical names of Jesus Christ are marked by eight as a multiple if the laws of Gematria are applied to them....The number 8 has been traditionally associated with the entrance into the Covenant of God by the historic Christian church....This kind of understanding can come from God Himself who had commanded Circumcision - the Sigh of the Covenant - to be performed on the Eighth Day."

"The number 8 in the bible represents a new beginning, meaning a new order or creation, and man's true 'born again' even when he is resurrected from the dead into eternal life." https://www.biblestudy.org/bibleref/meaning-of-numbers-in-bible/8.html
Meaning of the Number 8 in the Bible
In the Bible, we are told that the rains of the Great Flood of Noah started in the second month - this month was Cheshvan/Bul - which is now the second month of the civil calendar/the eighth month of the sacred calendar. Josephus wrote that The Flood started in the second Hebrew month of Marsuan 'per the Egyptian calendar'..so this month in Noah's time corresponds to the current month of Marheshvan or Bul. (After the Exodus from Egypt, Bul became the eighth month.) https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200000836

On the 17th of Cheshvan, the Great Flood began...and it ended a year later in the same month on the 27th of Cheshvan. It is believed to be exactly a one year period. Because of the terrible destruction that occurred to the world, this month was referred to as 'mar' - a time of judgment and hardship. Thus Marheshvan.
Noah and his family and the animals entered the ark and the Lord said 'For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights..." Genesis 7:4 So on the 10th of Cheshvan Noah was sealed up in the ark.
In Luke 17:26 Jesus said 'Just as it was in the days of Noah..."
This year, the month of Cheshvan begins at sunset October 29, so 1 Cheshvan is October 30 - ending at sunset. 10 Cheshvan begins at sunset November 7, so 10 Cheshvan is November 8 - ending at sunset. 17 Cheshvan begins at sunset November 14, so 17 Cheshvan is November 15 - ending at sunset.
Is is possible that the month of Cheshvan will be the month of the 'harvest of the Church', the appearance of the Messiah (the month of Messiah), 'the resurrection of the dead' and the start of the 'time of judgement' coming upon the whole earth? The Lord has an exact day picked out for the Rapture and the start of The Tribulation.
We will soon be in the month of Cheshvan.
Maranatha!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
