Who are the "ye" that Jesus is referring to?
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
This hasn't happened yet, so it wasn't the disciples sitting on the mount of olives with him.Doesn't the part in parentheses shows that there will people, in Judaea who will read this passage at the time this happens?Won't they thus know that they are the ones who are to flee into the mountains? Will they do it, will they flee to the mountains? How long will they need to be in the mountains?According to the next two lines, they will not have time to grab provisions:
Matthew 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Are they to pray about this before it happens?
Matthew 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Is this something that Christians currently living in Judaea should be praying about?Or should that only be done after the blessed hope?
It says, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place".How do they see the abomination of desolation stand in the holy place? If the temple is rebuilt, only the priests go into the holy place, where the table of shewbread and golden candlestick would be.And only the high priest goes into the most holy place, beyond the veil, and that is only on the day of atonement. So, are the "ye" that will see it, priests?Or will whosoever places the abomination of desolation cause the world to see it, e.g. using CNN, etc., to make it known to all?
