The Reformation. This is a fascinating article... giving a reminder of the historical importance of this date. And comparing the resulting chaos to the impact that the internet is having on the social order. Bible believing Christians understand that the internet is not exempt from the ongoing war between good and evil. I cannot help smirking at the panic our freedom of information has given the entrenched elitists. They have lost the control they had when they could manipulate the media (think Hitler). Few people trust mainstream media now. They have proven themselves liars. Yet, they are slow to recognise this small fact and continue to try and influence us... carrying on as normal. Lying through their whitened capped teeth and frozen botoxed smiles as if they were imparting the discovery of the Holy Grail.

We all have a healthy distrust of Facebook etc., and use it accordingly. We all have a healthy cynicism of the Zuckerburg, Bill Gates types and very few of us are taken in. The fabulously rich and famous have lost their lustre.... as have the Royals and the Pope. We are not dazzled anymore. If anything, the gold plate has rubbed off to reveal the filth. Yet, without the internet, I would not have my online church and access to the wealth of Bible information available. Like everything in life - it's a double edged sword.

Let's not forget the availability of paid internet trolls who do evil's bidding. The majority of people are not evil but there are many who are for hire by evil. I think one commentator to this article summed it up beautifully:-

" The internet is like the printing press... it is of itself, neutral and can be used for good or bad. For me, the most damning critique of Facebook and the like, is that they remove photographs of new mothers feeding their babies, yet are slow to act against Isis. That damns them to hell in my book".

'Nuff said.
