It has been a while since I have written.  I’m still here, and still digging and finding amazing treasures in Scripture.

 

I found this the other day and it was worth pondering…

 

1Kgs 12:11   And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.^H6137

 

Hebrew Strong’s # 6137 = Scorpions

 

Here we have the Strong’s number for Scorpions, and for emphasis, we might notice more than one.   Hence 2 Scorpions.  This could be written…

Following to a verse number…

 

Verse # 26137

John 3:16   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

 

What I want to point out is…

 

Isa 53:5   But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

 

Now when you read John 3:16, we see also present the 2 Scorpions.  That is evidence of severe chastisement.   Anyway,… I am pondering the significance.  If anyone has thoughts, I would love to hear it.
