Gods 70 year pattern of judgement

God has always taken action/judgement against Israel in the form of 70 year timeframes. This pattern has been repeated by God numerous times in scripture.

In the bible the number 70 represents judgment and human leadership for example,

Ancient Israel spent a number of 70 years in Babylonian captivity as a form of judgement from God.

Jeremiah 29:10

10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place".

70 elders were also appointed by Moses

Numbers 11:16

The Lord said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting,that they may stand there with you".

70 weeks a  (490 years) were determined upon Jerusalem by God for their disobedience. This is so that they can complete their transgressions, to make an end for sins and for everlasting righteousness to enter into it. (Daniel 9:24).

So as you can see the number 70 has a very significant meaning within scripture.

Since God has made it known that he has a pattern of working with Israel in 70s it would be interesting if God used the same pattern during the end times.

In November of 1947 the un implemented a resolution for Israel to regain their land this would become the groundwork for Israel later becoming a nation.

On May 14th 1948 Israel finally received their independence back thus finally being allowed back in the land and becoming reborn as nation. This all happened in one day

This fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah which states Isaiah 66:10

"Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion (Israel) in labor than she gives birth to her children."

It is possible that God could repeat this pattern again and decide to take action against Israel 70 years after Israel were restored to the land.

Back when jesus on earth he told a parable.In this parable the fig tree represents Israel. Jesus says that when the fig tree begins to put forth leaves then we know the end is near.

Matthew 24:32-34

32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it[a] is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

The fig tree (Israel) began to put forth leaves back in 1948 when they regained their land back after nearly 2000 years of being exiled from it.

Notice that Jesus said at the end of the story "this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place". In this verse the generation that Jesus was talking about was the generation in 1948 who saw Israel become a nation.

This means he was saying the generation who was alive or being born at this time will still be alive to see the second coming of Jesus Christ to earth after the tribulation.

So the question is how long is a generation ?

Well we read in psalms 90:10 that the average lifespan of a man is 70 to 80 years of age.

Psalms 90:10

Our days may come to seventy years,or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

So we know the average lifespan is
70 years but anyone who lived Beyond that it will be tough and troublesome for them.

If we add 70 years from 1948 we come to 2018 but in Jewish years it's a little bit different.

In Jewish years the events of 1948 and 1947 happened within the year 5708. The 70th year from that would be from October 3rd 5777 (2016) to September 21 5778 (2017).

We are currently in the 70th year right now.

Is it possible God could repeat this pattern and rapture the church and turn his attention back to Israel during the 70th year ? Is it possible that the beginning of the 70th week of Daniel/tribulation could start also occur within the 70th year ?

Who knows only time will tell. We do not know how things are gonna play out. But when we see all the things that are going on in the world and even the all the signs that Jesus said that we're gonna occur are happening right in front of our very eyes one has to wonder just how close are we to the end of this age.

We are extremely close Jesus Christ is coming back sooner than you think.

You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you in Jesus’ name amen.
