Gino : You raise an interesting question. Why are things ( words, names, phrases, even ideas and themes ) repeated in scripture ?
The best place to seek an answer is - scripture. Scripture explains scripture. In Genesis 41:32 Pharaoh has twice been subjected to the same dream and he asks Joseph to explain the meaning....notice Joseph's reply ........"And for that the dream was DOUBLED unto Pharaoh TWICE ; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. " Note Joseph's answer also includes a repeated thought ! Doubled, twice !
Things which are repeated or doubled are connected to things which are prophetic. You can test this by examining the prophetic books and passages like Daniel and Revelation. Multiple examples abound in those scriptures. Babylon being twice fallen, fallen reflects that there is a future Babylon that will fall like Babylon of old. Note that Daniel 10: 2,3 is also repeated and may connect to that event.
