Recently our church had a fast and all night prayer. During that time of pressing in for our nation a thought came to me. We had experienced some breakthrough and insight. There was a moment when several broke out in weeping during a song. We felt the heavy hand of the Lord. It was some cleaning the Lord was doing in our hearts as we washed each others feet.

The thought was this. The oil that the 5 wise virgins had was not just the Holy Spirit, or that feeling of joy that your get when you know you are doing something that pleases God, such as serving those less fortunate. It is from sticking with the Lord under times of testing, of pressing in. It can not be received by those who run from the testing or trial that the Lord has us going through and thus never maturing.

The olive tree represents Israel and should I say the church. To get oil from the olive tree the olives need to be crushed of pressed. Those that had the oil were able to light there lamps and find the way out of the darkness.

Don't be left behind! The days are getting very dark.
