"What becomes of
believers who are not ready when their Lord comes for
them?"
Were not all virgins to found in the same house waiting together
for their Lord and did not the five foolish also have a lamp
with oil (Holy Spirit) but just not enough ? Where not the five
wise filled with The Holy Spirit and beyond a full
measure? Is not this a picture of those who are fully
prepared and waiting as opposed to those who are waiting but not
prepared to meet Him when He comes ? Is this not about the
Bridegroom returning and not The King of Kings with all the
saints (Second Coming)? Could it be that The Lord says to
the 5 foolish - I don't (intimately) know you at that time
because they are not dressed and ready for Him when He comes for
them (all ten virgins) with some ready and some not. Does He not
both reward and correct those that belong to Him? I see
believers all the time who are saved but not growing in the
faith and therefore "unbelievers" to a lot of the truths taught
in the word of God. Jesus came to bring a sword and cause
division - between flesh and spirit and only what is done by The
Spirit is approved of by God. Is this not our struggle every day
to put off the old nature in favor of the Spirit. This is why we
are warned throughout the Bible and to the very end to endure,
overcome and to be ready at all times and that His reward is
with Him. But - what of those who belong to God if they do not
obey, not filled with the Holy Spirit and are not ready?
Are they lost, as the wicked who do not know God, and what will
become of them?
