I was interested by your recent post with the Chicago White Sox logo and the observations you made.

Last year I was led to look at the name “Chicago” after reading again David Flynn’s book, “Temple at the Centre of Time”.
In his chapter dealing with the number 666, he says , “The Greeks inherited the letters for their language from the Phoenician and Israelite traders from the texts of the Old Testament. The earliest versions of the Old Testament used this same phonetic “pictographic” script. The first letter chi (x), equalling 600, was a Greek transformation of the Phoenician letter tav (x), a symbol of a tree or crossed sticks which meant “a mark”.
Xi symbolised a branch and equals 60.
The final letter, stigma actually meaning “a mark” is a later Greek addition to the Phonetic alphabet. It symbolizes a serpent and was used to represent the number 6. The pictographic meaning in the Greek of the number 666 is, then,
A serpent on the branch of a tree, exactly the scene of Genesis 3:1.” [Flynn, p.217]
It was this that first drew my attention to the Greek letter Chi equalling 600.
Before I explain what I found, there is another section of text from his book that I will quote here.
“Beyond the construction of the temple in Jerusalem and the rebirth of Israel as a nation, the rise of enemies of the Jews is an unfortunate prophetic fulfilment. In modern times, the greatest of these is militant Islam. The researcher Altaf Simon, has suggested that the Greek morphology of letters is related to a unique Islamic phrase, bism Allah, meaning in Arabic, “In the name of Allah”. This is used extensively in Islam on documents. According to Simon, who once was himself Moslem, the Arabic words closely match the Greek for 666. These appear as a mirror image of the stigma and Xi in the words “in the name of Allah”, followed by the x, chi in Greek, as the crossed swords of Islam.” [Flynn, p.221, 222]
Look at the word CHICAGO. It can be seen as being made up of 2 Greek characters – the letter CHI (X) and the word KAGO. (Strongs G2504) = “and I” or “and me also”
The name Chicago could then be translated as “The crossed swords of Islam and me (also)”
It is also interesting that Illinois spelt in reverse is Sion illi.
The use of mirror images with symbols seems prevalent as noted in the quote above from Flynn’s book.
“Sion”, according to Deuteronomy 4:48 is another name for Mt Hermon.
“Illi” seems to mean “those” in Latin and the Hebrew H428: el-leh = “those”
seems to derive from the same root. So it may be meant to speak of “those from Mt Hermon”
G2004 (a significant year in modern history) + G500 = G2504 !
G2004: epitasso = order, command, charge.
Taking a look at the SOX logo again,
One can observe that the central white ‘S’ goes down into the heart of the ‘O’.
And the ‘O’ and the ‘X’ are hooked together. (which is also the meaning of Chicago as shown above)
The white part of the ‘S’ that enters the middle of the ‘O’ – then looks like an ‘I’ –actually making it read six, six, six.
Put another way, six, six, six is formed when ‘S’ enters the ‘O’ that is joined with the ‘X’.
John, I don’t believe you were trying to ‘force” the symbolism!
The word ‘six’ if read right to left using the letter X as chi symbolically could be read as -the crossed swords of Islam and the I S.
In many of the recent photos of IS members they appear attired in black clothing with white shoes and bearing the symbol of the Shahada in white letters on black.
The gematria of Chi – Kago is 600 +824 = 1424.
Strongs G1424: dusme = west.
Daniel’s discussion of the antichrist’s forces seems to indicate that they are represented by the ‘west’ and are opposed by forces from the north and east.
Looking at the verses in the Bible with a sum of 1424 we find :-

What stood out to me was:
1) the mention of Dan. (Antichrist’s lineage)
2) the theme of trusting in money rather than God (this is what the Shemitah
addresses in God’s economy)
3) The Day Appointed (consider the Rapture and/or the day appointed for the
beginning of the tribulation week)
4) The “fear” and “snare” being upon the inhabitants of the earth (Tribulation)
There is a lot of symbolism out there telling us plainly what time it is.
In my research of the messages attached to the ‘birth pang’ signs – one verse keeps coming up lately.
“Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known” Matthew 10:26
I believe the Lord is revealing things hidden in His Word in many different ways, but He is also uncovering many things that have been veiled in the world until now.
