"Walmart Beware"

Hello Guys,

Still watching here although the news has been relatively quiet.  Filled with a strange peace I feel I don't deserve and hope you are experiencing it as well. I wish I could say I knew we were on the last lap but I don't. Even so, I believe we are.

This has been on my heart to share as it has been driving me a bit crazy when I think about it.

I ask you. Where is the first place people will go in an emergency?

I am a Canadian citizen that needed to take a Sabbatical from a professional career and ended up working in a Walmart in Edmonton to keep busy. Well, this is what I have noticed. Just from keeping an eye on the customers and listening while I work,--there are a minimum of two FEMA camps near me that are unreported. There have been so many US soldiers in Edmonton and burbs, that they gave a statement last year in the news about the "ANNUAL RIVER VALLEY EXERCISES" ... I can tell you I have lived here for over 15 years and have never heard of such.

My store is in the burbs so I can tell you that we have gone from relaxed evenings to crazy busy. Apparently, from what I can tell, Walmart has a contract with FEMA is what I think must be happening because the other neighboring stores aren't remotely this busy. Plus they don't act like Canadians. Not to be impolite, but they don't have the same boundaries and are aggressive. I believe this is just a cultural difference. I know we are pretty conservative.

My education and career have been as a therapist which notes unusual behavior and behavioral patterns. This is my summary of events, as I believe them to be.

In the news it is claimed this past year Walmart is making less money. They have continued to open stores here in small communities in spite of this and skeleton staff. Walmart is essentially a giant warehouse that can be turned into that, within hours with the removal of shelves, complete with drains in the floors. They are pushing to have a walmart here in every community.

I ask you once more. Where is the first place people will go in an emergency. I believe that walmart is likely being contracted as a sorting ground, when the powers that be finally decide which spark is going to catch fire. (I did happen to notice railway tracks near a number of them here. Not sure if its the same everywhere).

I hope to not waste anyone's time. But there have been a lot of weird things I have noticed with regards to upper echelon decisions. In Canada Walmart isn't everywhere in Canada, but this past year they have been opening them haphazardly without enough staff or product and it appears crazy and very non business effective. Like they are more interested in them being there than making a profit. Plus, they are short on everything all the time including medicine. It all just seems odd.

I know I am not a brain surgeon or business major, but I do have a few letters behind my name and common sense.  I hope to just give people food for thought. Walmart would be a perfect place to sort people. Having one in every neighborhood would really push that along.

As such, I would say to you. Do not go to any Walmart in an emergency. I could be wrong but I don't believe so.

God Bless and God speed!
