Charles,As I read your post on Humility before Honor, I could not help but think of this book that I am reading.I Got this book the other day, A real old used copy with all kinds of notes from the old owner. It is a collection of Sermons from Audio tape, Called "faith beyond reason" By A.W. Tozer. I am posting some snippets at watchman on the wall forum, and you may want to check out the other ones as I post them.At any rate, I could not help make the connection between the first sermon in that Book, and what you wrote in the above link.I wanted to share this, because the person who left the book full of notes, was transformed as he read the book. I counted about 10 "WOW's" and 20 "AMEN's" in his notes. At the back of the book he wrote the following prayer, Which the Holy Spirit in me saw as having a dual meaning. On the surface it is a Prayer for His children and his Grand Children, But when one sees the Holy Spirit speaking through him, It has a whole depth of meaning.The Prayer:"May my children and their children have wisdom and understanding of God's purpose in their lives, and come to KNOW God's Character and who HE is!! Amen"I can tell this person that made these comments was elderly because of the shakiness of his handwriting, and the size of the print. I Believe that after reading this book, this prayer was answered.May God Bless You.
