Hi Pastor Bob,
As usual, I've put off writing all of my emails to the very last minute, so this is rushed. On 9/13 in IN CHRIST-1 you stated: " I'm
78, but during the Millennium, I will be but a youngster that has 900
years of the new life "in Christ". Revelation 20 states six time we
will have lives living that long." This troubles me. Leaving aside the
questions of our having anything to do with the millennial kingdom,
which is the fulfillment of the promises to Israel and earthly, and who
Revelation is addressed to, what do you do with: 1COR 15
52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we
shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the
saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
I
read that at the instant of rapture we will be glorified and immortal,
and not extended temporal as as the inhabitants of the millennial
kingdom surely are.
RE: All Roads Lead to Rome5
I'm
glad to see you identifying the Jesuits for what they are. However, it
must be noted that they were out of business from 1773 to 1814 in Roman
Catholic Europe at least. They had a major presence in mid-America.
I'm
likewise glad to see your presentation of the Masons for what they are.
However, even the Masons themselves admit Jefferson was NOT a mason.
Masonry
in America was far different than in Europe. For one thing, it had only
ten degrees. Washington explicitly stated that he hadn't spent more
than three hours in any lodge over the course of his life. I tend to
view 1700's American Masonry as a fail safe communications system. In
the 1800's the Scottish Rite was adopted, and everything changed.
Likewise
negative is any claim that Jefferson had anything to do with crafting
the Constitution. He was the Ambassador to France from 1884 to 1889.
Mail crossing the Atlantic would have required three or more weeks! He
wrote subsequent commentaries dealing particularly with his objections
to central banking, paper money and the Supreme Court, particularly life
tenure. He was peculiarly prophetic.
Washington's supposed death bed conversion lacks any evidence whatsoever. The following presents both sides of the controversy.
Both
Masonry and Catholicism love to appropriate what is not theirs. Father
Neal was a Jesuit, a master of casuistry. Are we to expect the truth
from him?
Washington's
estate would have been inundated with strange stuff ... gifts from
anyone and everyone, including foreign heads of state and people of high
rank.
Washington
accommodated himself to all, Catholics, Jews, protestants of all
flavors, etc. He was close friends with the rabbis of Newport, RI and
NYC, who in large part financed the war. His cabinet was deliberately
composed of individuals diametrically opposed, Jefferson and Hamilton
being the most obvious examples.
My concern always is that they believed: 1COR 15 3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how
that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: ...
I
have prayers from Washington's prayer journal that refute anyone
casting doubts upon his Christianity. I have (somewhere) a letter from
Jefferson to Abigail Adams near the end of his life stating that he was a
follower of Jesus Christ.
I believe you should have an errata in your
Reply: To JFH
You state: "As I have stated elsewhere, the Old is the New revealed, and the New is the Old concealed."
Shouldn't this be: "... the Old is the New concealed, and the New is the Old revealed."?
It's late, and I'm out of time, so I'll stop here.
Maranatha,
Bob
