A Letter to The good 'ol Rapture Skeptic
Gee
whiz, you sound like a really disappointed fellow and
that's a shame. Seems your mind is made up already and you're
just itchin for a fight. People who aren't 100% sure themselves
usually are. Believe me, you have my sympathy because from where
you're coming from and from what I can gather about your conclusions,
the best you can do is tie. That's on you. Oh well, I'm no Biblical
Scholar by any means but I do believe in the Rapture ( but not a
rapture in the traditional sense, no cars crashing into one another etc.)
I'm not an easy guy to fool and I've heard all your points in the past.
A long time ago actually, and I had the same doubts you espouse now
so we do have that road in common. Anyway, I'm willing to take up
your challenge if you are willing to be Honest with yourself. Are you?
Here are some questions that are either "yes" or "no" answers and if
you are indeed Honest in answering them we may both learn something.
1. Do you believe GOD is CAPABLE of rapturing people of HIS choosing?
2. Are "alien" abductions real?
3. Is satan capable of denying Jesus one of His "chosen ones" ?
4. Will Jesus' 1st return be a surprise for some people?
5. Will His final return not be witnessed by everyone on Earth ?
6. Has anyone ever been raptured ? More than one person ?
7. Do some believers hear Christ's voice ? (In their mind's ear)
8. Are His "sheep" and His "Bride" one and the same?
9. Would a "Loving Groom" subject His Bride to Be to the most
horrific period the Earth will ever experience?
10. Would YOU put your betrothed through a test of life or death
that all believers of past generations did NOT have to pass?
11. Did Christ ever, byHis Word, offer an"escape" to His Faithful?
12. Have the "Miracles" greater than Christ performed , promised to
those that "believe without seeing", happened yet?
Your answers to the above questions will answer your own
question as to whether or not the " Rapture" will, in the future, occur.
I will grant you that the Rapture won't be the typical stereotype that
is preached in todays churches. Cars, empty suddenly, won't be
crashing etc. If that is part of your issue, I agree. It will be quite
different. Quite different indeed ! But it WILL OCCUR !
I sincerely hope and pray you can reconcile your issue by praying
to HIM for an answer. HE has the answer. Why not ASK HIM ?
I DID ! !

P.S. I notice you use a lot of Old Testament scenarios/language for
New Testament application....an error made by many leading to
erroneous comparisons........in fairness to yourself this isn't
helpful to
your quest. Old Covenant/New Covenant ie.
