For adding your probing mind and fierce honestness  to the “sending of the great deception” issue.

I know a lot of you people here are very much into the KJV translation, but let me break a lance here for the Life Application Bible by Tyndale too.

This is my personal beloved and dearly cherished Bible, through which my Lord spoke directly to me so many times in a truly amazing way and opened my heart for Him as no other translation ever did.     So for me without question there is a Divine thumbs-up for this Bible translation too.

Me, a poor simpleton, am after all these years still so very  blessed by all the explaining linernotes  at the bottom of the pages too.

So when John B mentioned 2 Thess 2 v 9-12 I looked it up.

This is what it says:  “He (the wicked one from v8) will completely fool these who are on their way to hell; BECAUSE THEY HAVE SAID “NO”TO THE TRUTH;

They have REFUSED to believe It and love It, and let It save them, so God will ALLOW them to believe lies with all their hearts and all of them will be justly judged for believing falsehood, refusing the Truth, and enjoying their sins.

In the linernotes it says: God GIVES people FREEDOM to turn their backs on Him and believe satan`s lies. But if they say no to the Truth, they will experience the consequences of their sin.

Now there it is: “allowing” and “giving the freedom to” is not the same as sending……. One of God`s greatest  gifts in his Infinite Love is Freedom ! so if you refuse ,He will allow: it is more or less the same in the beginnings of Paul`s letter to the Romans, if you want to persist in sexual sin, the Lord will abandon you to your sinning.

You are supposed to be His Temple, no unrepented defiling can be allowed; Gods Love and Freedom are so great that He will withdraw His Holy Spirit from you so you can have it your way…………….. We are His children, made into His image and likeness: how AWESOME !  what BLESSING !what RESPONSIBILITY !

Holy, Holy, Holy indeed is our Lord.
