Now that you have put it in biblical context your answer was truly enlightening.

And let me get this straight; I never questioned my Lord, it was only that  “sending a great deception” didn`t seem to fit my Lord`s  Being.

But especially your last sentence cleared that up.

For me that means if you keep on refusing the Lord then you ARE already in a (self-willed) deception.

Grim tides are coming, but we may always lift up our heads and await our Lord !
