As per the "strong delusion" sent by God to those who would not believe the truth in 2 Thess.2:11. It appears to me that it was directly from God and no second or third "spirit" party was involved as you seem to suggest from your post. http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2013/gino104-3.htm

 

God's wording seems very clear that He is responsible for the strong delusion......

 

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

 

Did God lie to them to send them this strong delusion?

 

No, I believe that God allowed the first beast (the antichrist) to kill His two witnesses that no one on the planet could harm. This act of killing the two witnesses is what convinced the planet of a "lie" sponsored by the antichrist......that he is the true God.

 

I believe that it was God's act of allowing this to happen which equates to the "strong delusion" which fooled those would not believe the truth...........spoken of in 2 Thess.2:11.
