"2 reassuring short dreams of the rapure"

Hi, John and Doves!

About two years ago I had a brief dream--it was of the rapture.  My DH woke me up, afraid I was having a bad dream..  (I was glad he did, because I seldom remember my dreams in the AM) All I remember was of feeling an enormous, irresistable force--kinda like a HUGE vacuum cleaner, and rising quickly--all I could say, knowing what this was, was "Oh, God!" (a prayer, and not the other  :-)  It was my exclamation that woke my husband.  Wow--I'll never forget this one!

Last week, I again had a great short rapture dream.  For some reason I was alone with a few other women, in a classroom setting, I think. (John wasn't in the room)  I mentioned to one older lady that I would help her with something that next week, and she smiled the most beautiful smile and replied, "If we're still here".  I turned to look out the small--casement-type?--window.   I smiled, watched a little chipmunk, busy eating his meal on the ground. Then, as I was still watching him, the little guy went straight up, and I gasped. Before I could say, "Did you see that?" I was lifted up, with the other women,  up--- and through the ceiling! John says I just seemed active and excited, somehow, so he woke me up....

You know, the part about the chipmunk is reassuring to me.  We've always believed that all creation groans with us  awaiting  the redemption of their bodies (Romans 8:19-22)

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

This little one just might be one that our Lord uses to populate Heaven and the New Earth!  (I think one of you Doves wrote that God the Father finished creation, on the 6th day......This person thought that many--maybe not all--of our little ones, our furkids, will be going Home, too!

Somehow--and please don't 'flame' me on this?---I think our Lord knows my heart, and just might want to love John and me in this way.  He may satisfy the desires of our hearts, our longing for re-union with those little guys who so break our hearts   when they die.....

Psalm 37:4   Delight thyself also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
 and

Psalm 84:11  For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Describing Sarah Smith, in C S Lews' The Great Divorce (Chap 10)
...... "And how ... but hullo! What are all these animals? A cat-two cats-dozens of cats. And all those dogs . . . why, I can't count them. And the birds. And the horses." "They are her beasts." "Did she keep a sort of zoo? I mean, this is a bit too much."

"Every beast and bird that came near her had its place in her love. In her they became themselves. And now the abundance of life she has in Christ from the Father flows over into them." I looked at my Teacher in amazement. "Yes," he said. "It is like when you throw a stone into a pool, and the concentric waves spread out further and further. Who knows where it will end? Redeemed humanity is still young, it has hardly come to its full strength......

But already there is joy enough in the little finger of a great saint such as yonder lady to waken all the dead things of the universe into life.".........
