We are familar with the story of Elijah being taken to heaven and Elisha being ''left behind''.........but receiving the ''double portion''.
 
A few weeks ago I posted a ''theory'' that the 24 Elders might be the same as the 144 thousand..........since the descriptions given each group is very similar! See Rev ch 5 and compare to Rev 14.
 
One person posted afterwards that this did not seem accurate because in Rev. 14 the 144k sing a song before the 24 Elders and others.
 
That is a very valid point. For if they are the Same group WHY would they be mentioned separately in Rev. 14.
 
Thus the 24 Elders are probably not the 144k.
 
Now consider the typology of Elijah and Elisha.
 
It is clear that in Rev. ch 4 the Overcomers of the Church are raptured to heaven. These then are the 24 Elders. I believe this is the Elijah group.
 
And I believe that the 144 thousand are those left On the Earth............sealed............and are the Elisha group.
 
Note in Rev. 9  that one angel is told not to ''hurt'' those that have the seal of God on their forehead. This shows that the Elisha group Remain on the Earth.....under Divine protection!
 
What do they do? Their witness results in the ''innumerable mulitude'' coming to God in Rev. ch 7 !! The Elisha group are here during the Great Tribulation.....and thus they will Need a Double Portion!!
 
It seems to me that God is now again revealing some end time understanding.
