Strange thundering booms
 
Dear Doves,
I live in West Texas, on Oct 13th we had some rain storms come through our area. Nothing severe. Just hard rain, not alot of wind. It was about 2pm/2:30pm hard rain is coming down, not much wind. Looks white outside from so much rain falling. My husband and I at first thought it was thunder we were hearing, then we noticed as we kept hearing it, it wasn't. It just kept going, we ran to the door to listen outside. It was like hearing bombs going off, back and forth, like fighting going on in the air, some so loud it would make the windows rattle and house shake. (This was not thunder! the sound was way different) I kept asking my husband as I prayed and we looked out the door and listened, What is it????? He said, I don't know, even my husband was frightened and I have never seen him look at me like that!! My husband called one of his friends in the next town and they had heard it also, and didn't know what it was and some people at his old work place he seen today Oct. 14 heard it also. It was very strange!!!!!!! We looked at the T.V to see if there was any breaking news as we were hearing this... nothing said. Nightly news, nothing said. Surely something so loud and strange would be reported right? Today Oct.14th I called the both news stations in our area.. nothing reported. I talked to a meterologist at the station, he couldn't explain it, hadn't heard it. I called both sherrif departments in both towns to see if anything was reported.. nothing. The sounds lasted about 5 or 6 minutes.
 
It wasn't real windy and there was NO lightening!!!! Nothing severe!
 
Nothing reported!!??? Very strange!!!
Any thoughts on this???
