I was not watching for Christ's return in sept of 2008.  I had no clue.  But I would have to imagine that with all the hoopla surrounding 9-23-15 that feast of trumpets 2008 was highly watched since it was 7 years beforehand.

 

I would have to imagine that the Dow falling that day (when the Dow closed it was already FOT in Israel) 777 points must have been a big wow to a lot of people.

 

To me looking at it afterward was a wow.  Also it always baffled me why He would use the age of Lamech dying 5 years before the flood.  Unless Lamech is some pointer to when the flood/sudden destruction is why would God use it?

 

However I believe my understanding that lamech died 5 years before the flood is wrong.

 

I am 42 years old as of Oct 1 of this year.  If I die anytime before Oct 1 of next year I will die at the age of 42 but in my 43rd year.

Gen 5:30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

 

Gen 5:31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

 

Gen 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened

 

THe bible is very specific here.  Lamech died 595 years after he became a father to Noah.  THe flood started when Noah was in his 600th year or 599 years old.  He turned 600 while in the ark.

 

SO why could this be important.

 

Lamech died at age 777 and the flood started after 4 years in the fifth year from his death.

 

THe Dow dropped 777 points and the fifth year started on tishri 1 this year.  So this Cheshvan 10-17 would be the one corresponding to the events played out in the bible.

 

THis obviously hinges on if God used the 777 to correspond to Lamech at 777.

 

Again I am not saying God did.  I am just pointing this out.
