This is not meant to demean your studies on eschatology, which have been most edifying to me and others.
However, I keep seeing that almost every learned teacher of prophecy is in lockstep with the teaching that the AC will sign a (new) treaty  with Isreal insuring its security.
You said it in your post yesterday.
The Bible states that "He will CONFIRM  a covenant with many"...   Therefore the covenant already exists.  I have become covinced that the covenant was made by H.S.Truman when he recognized Israel as a nation in 1948 and that covenant (to protect Israel's nationhood) has been confirmed by every U.S. president since then, including O. at their respective inaugurations.
Now, just about a month ago an American general (speaking for Obama) stated that the U.S. will not be complicit if Israel attacks Iran.  O has already broken the covenant (with those words).  Or he will break it by not coming to Israel's aid.
Please think about the real words of the Bible.  We should stop using words like "make a treaty" to replace the real words of the Bible such as "Confirm a Covenant".  We are not looking for a new (here-to-fore unkown) treaty.  We should look for the "covenant" that is already in place.
So we have either just past the midpoint of the 7 years or we are very close to it.
Now, Mr.Rajan,  I most certainly am not in any way demeaning your eschatological work.  I look forward to reading all your very learned and thoughtful posts.  I am certainly not in your intellectual league.  However,  I am becoming more and more convinced that the covenant Pres.Truman entered into IS the covenant that O confirmed at his inauguration.  Now we are a little past halfway through his first term  and only some Doves have come to believe he is the AC.  I include myself among them.  Most of my family love O and think I am a crazy "right-wing fundamentalist".  But I am the only one (plus one of my sisters) who studies the Bible. at all.  I know that they are all deluded and God predicted that too!
