Dear John and Doves,

Jesus was declared the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world at His baptism. Jesus was "cut off" three and a half years later as our covenant with God, ushering in "everlasting righteousness". The final three and a half years occured within that generation (37 years later) during the Roman-Jewish war which culminated in the desolation of the Temple and Jerusalem.
