"Rene On Voting And Our Responsibility To God"

Sister,

Once again you have nailed it!! You are right. The responsible Christian thing to do is vote. (I believe that to bo so IF there is a lesser of two evils. If not, it will not matter and our vote should not go to an immoral person. I do not know if Mitt Romney is a Christian or not but he is a righteous moral man for whom Christians must get behind. Does anyone want to live however long we have left until the Rapture in a land that O. degrades to suit himself? And I say this for those who do not want to vote for either party. Only a D or a R will ever win these elections now.)

You post was so good I cannot add much to it. However, I believe along with what you said that we must take dominion over all the earth as God told us to do in the beginning. WE are to have control of government and everything else on earth! We are to be in political power ruling with Godly influence so the people may live in peace. When we lose our Christian rights it is because we sit back and do nothing saying, "Oh, God will take care of it all." No He won't. In the NT even Jesus repeated God's OT command in the form of "Occupy until I come." That is a military phrase that means "take control, be in power." Remember Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." Let's act like it.

Four years ago God did put BO in office. He did that because 30 million Christians did not care enough to vote to keep him out. Millions more "Christians" that did not care that this man wants abortion to abound voted for him. We got the President we deserved. Saul was not God's choice to be King but God gave the people what they asked for. Today we can demonstrate to Him by voting that we want a moral man out of the only two choices we have. We are still living in this world until the Rapture. We must defeat evil or it will rule over us.

We are not OF this world but we live in it and must work within the system God has raised up for this land. If any Christian thinks the laws of this world do not have an effect on him, defy gravity and jump off a cliff and see what happens to you. If you don't want to participate in the day to day workings of the world because you are a Christian, don't pay your electric bill and see how long God keeps your electricity going for you. After all He wants you to have it, right? He will do that for you. NO God has called us to be in power (office) and make the rules according to the Bible.

President Bush did his best to defeat abortion and failed because Christians did not care enough to help him defeat it!!!!!!!! He could not do it alone. He had a good start and was coming very close at least on partial birth then the other side began to fight back. Not one of us helped him. We did not resist evil unto shedding our blood as the Word tells us to do. We did not demonstrate and go to jail for our beliefs. We did not vote Godly people into office and the ungodly out. We allowed the God haters in the country to have it their way. And guess what? God allowed US to have our way. May He have mercy on us. Lukewarm Christians are the reason so much evil is abounding in the world. Prayer is great but God expects us to put feet to our prayers!

The best thing I think I could say at this point is in the OT God severely chastised a man for not shooting enough arrows to defeat his enemy. The man was weak in his determination to defeat the enemy and God was not pleased.

Rene, seems I did have a "little" more to add to your post. Hope you don't mind and I am sure you know the comments are meant for others who may read this (for myself as well when I failed God). God bless you, Sister. Keep on speaking out Boldly for God!
