"God's signature ??  I hope so."

Daniels prophecy was for 490 years, however it was “paused” at 483 years.

The tribulation period is that final 7 years of this prophecy.

Those 7 years are broken into two parts – the first half is 1260 days, and the second half – the GREAT tribulation, is 42 months / 3.5 years.

Jesus said that the 2nd half would be shortened, but he didn’t say by how much.

So all we know for certain is that the first half will be 1260 days.

Concerning the 2nd half:  1260 days, shortened by 483 days, makes the 2nd half 777 days.

(To me, that just has God’s signature all over it.)

So now get this:

Starting on Israel’s birthday (May 14th 1948) adding a 70 year generation, the tribulation should END on May 14th, 2018.

(We already knew that.)

To find the start of the tribulation, back up 2037 days (1260 + 777) from May 14th 2018.

It would start on October 15th, 2012.

The new moon.

The final new moon before the presidential election, by the way.

Why that might be significant is because of this:

If Israel attacks Iran before the election, Obama will be forced to support Israel, or lose the Jewish vote, and some of the Democrat Christian vote, and probably lose the election.

Conversely, if he supports Israel, he’s likely to gain some “patriotic” votes.

If Israel waits until after the November 6th election to attack Iran, and Obama wins, Obama has zero incentive to support Israel.  They will be on their own for the next four years, and they know it.

If Romney wins, maybe he will support Israel, and maybe he won’t.  Yes, I realize that he’s acting like a friend to Israel - in the run up to the election – that really doesn’t mean much.  Politicians have a very predictable way of saying just about anything to get a vote.  The point is, Romney is simply an unknown quantity as far as Israel is concerned.

I'm of the opinion that Israel will choose to attack before the election – which is only 36 days away.

While a dark night (new moon) may not be essential with modern technological advances, there is an old saying – “the trend is your friend”.  Dark nights have been the chosen night to execute a surprise attack for a long, long time.  Additionally, right now the weather is still clear.  Wait another month, and the weather will be turning bad – a factor that works against Israel, certainly a consideration.

And all those ships in the gulf?  They can't stay there indefinitely.  Their very presence points to the war being sooner, rather than later.

The good news is that I believe that the Bible teaches a “pre-trib” rapture.

There are several promising dates between now, and October 15th.

Sukkot is observed this week - all week.

October 7th, there is the Draconids meteor shower, (mentioned by another dove recently).

So called, because they appear to radiate from the constellation Draco - a constellation in the far northern sky. Its name is Latin for dragon. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and remains one of the 88 modern constellations today.  Additionally, the star Draconis was the northern pole star around 3000 BC, during the time of the ancient Egyptians. The Pyramids were designed to have one side facing north, with an entrance passage designed so that Draconis would be visible at night.. The traditional name of Draconis, Thuban, means "head of the serpent".

October 7th is also the Jewish festival of Simchat Torah:

Simchat Torah

In many Orthodox and Conservative congregations, this is the only time of year on which the Torah scrolls are taken out of the ark and read at night.  When the ark is opened, all the worshippers leave their seats to dance and sing with all the Torah scrolls in a joyous celebration that often lasts for several hours and more.

After the hakafot and the dancing, three scrolls of the Torah are read. The last parashah of the Torah, V'Zot HaBerachah, at the end of Deuteronomy (33:1-34:12), is read from the first scroll, followed immediately by the first chapter (and part of the second) of the Book of Genesis (1:1-2:3), which is read from the second scroll.

It is a special honor to receive the last aliyah of the Book of Deuteronomy; the person receiving that aliyah is called the Chatan Torah (the groom of the Torah) or Kallat Torah (the bride of the Torah). Likewise, it is a special honor to receive the first aliyah of the Book of Genesis; that person is called Chatan B'reishit (the groom of Genesis) or Kallat B'reishit (the bride of Genesis)."

One last thing about October 7th

John 2:18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

John 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

John 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

46 years X 360 days = 16560 days

From 6/7/1967 (the day the temple was captured), plus 16560 days = October 7th, 2012

Probably just a coincidence.

But one can hope.

Best regards,

Keith
