"Can you vote for Romney, a Mormon?"

Dear friends:

Many Bible-believing Christians are conflicted over the upcoming election, a choice between an admitted Muslim, Obama (I have heard him say it), and a Mormon.

Here's the way I have resolved it.

I cannot vote for a Muslim, especially one who is so anti-Christian, as consistently demonstrated by his many words and actions.

I can and will vote for Mitt Romney.

That is based on the New Testament's guidelines on how to be a Christian.  Here are two examples, but there are more:

John 3:16“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Romans 10:8-9"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Having established those truths, let us examine what Mormon doctrine says (from http://www.mormonbeliefs.com/doctrine.htm)

1.  We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and redeemer and the God of this creation. We believe this creation was His handiwork in liaison with the Father. “ In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God [the Father], and the Word was God [of this creation].

2  "The same was in the beginning with God. [And was the beginning of this creation]. All things [in this creation] were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1)

3.  We believe the Godhead includes the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

4.  We believe that by Jesus keeping a perfect law, Satan held no dominion over Him; and the Father had to raise Him from the dead. After three days with the spirits in prison (hell), Jesus was raised (resurrected) by the Father.

Admittedly, there are many things about Mormon doctrine that are not biblical, and some are outright bizarre (don't tell me, I know already), but to a lesser degree the same could be said of virtually all Protestant denominations and Catholicism.  Yet, also, virtually all accept the four truths above.

Based on the above, and reinforced by Mitt Romney's consistent character and lifestyle, I consider him a brother in Christ.

I hope this helps you decide your voting choice in November, and you help get this inexperienced Muslim Marxist out of the White House.
