"The End of the End"

The End of the End

Seems like we, naturally, are focusing on the “beginning of the end” as watchers believing in redemption.  The “end of the end” may hold an important feature involved in His timing.

God’s original governmental plan for the Hebrews out of Egypt was to directly rule over and protect them.  Soon however, the people demanded a King.  When granted, they had a Levitical class over their worship and a king over their civil government.

This reflects the two-fold nature of the Hebrew calendar; a civil calendar is preeminent as the setter of their year, 5773 currently, which starts on Tishrei 1 in the fall.    While their religious year starts in the spring, the month of Nisan.

God would rule comprehensively.  There would be no division between religious and civil.  In fact, the “civil” portion is actually added since God is complete and undividable.  So, adding a king added a civil government.  This is reflected in the 180 plus days of separation between the two calendars.

Notably, our human condition also shows these two-part divisions as the spirit is trapped in a corrupted flesh.  The fall of man directly parallels.  An evil component added to God’s created persons.  Originally, only God had a direct line into our souls.  After the fall, humanity also had a direct line to evil.  Our earthly rules and regulations whether God’s Law, government, or religion, all testify to the fallen nature of man.

At the “End of the End” the Messiah, our Christ Jesus, will return to establish His earthly kingdom.  He will rule comprehensively.  I believe He will reunite the civil and religious calendars removing the 180 plus days between them.  There will be no evil portion in our true king.

The book of Esther begins with a description of a 180 day banquet given by King Ahasherus.  This banquet celebrated the glory of his kingdom with his people and prominent visitors.  Just as Esther illustrates both brides of the godhead (Hebrew and gentile), so the 180 days will reflect the uniting of the Hebrew calendar and true kingship.
