"RE: Denis Hart: FiveDoves: 10.08.12: Turkey - Home to All Seven Churches - A Key Sign?"

Denis,

I really enjoyed the letter that you posted on all seven churches being in what is now called Turkey. You did a lot of studying and cross-reference.

Your letter encouraged me to look at Satan’s seat. That seat is mentioned three times, twice as Satan’s seat, an finally as the beast’s seat, after it was given to him. The church in Pergamos was told that Satan’s seat was right there in their same place:

Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

Then in the tribulation, Satan gives that same seat to the beast:

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Then at the very end of the tribulation, the wrath of God is poured out onto that seat, which Satan had given to the beast:

Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain

The church was told that Satan’s seat was in Pergamos, which is in modern day Turkey. That same seat, in Turkey, is later given to the beast in the Tribulation. There is nothing in the scriptures to indicate that Satan’s seat was moved to Rome, or to New York, or to Washington D.C., or even to Salt Lake (only Alexander Hislop tried to make a case for a moving seat, the scriptures do not). The revived Islamic Empire comes back to life, with its head of the caliphate in Turkey, where it suffered a mortal head wound after the end of WWI. So a revived Islamic Empire headed in Turkey, the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire which also had its head in Turkey, with the beast given Satan’s seat, right there in Turkey, and to be the focus of God’s wrath in the fifth vial – well it seems interesting at least, and even possible to me, and I’m thinking of all this now, in response to that great post of yours.

                          Thank you,

                                       Gino
