On Arlene's letter to ReneI've read many pro and cons regarding whether we, as Christians should vote this year. I've had my husband tell me that he couldn't face God and know that he didn't vote against abortion. Pray, tell, which one of these two candidates is going to fix that one? Mitt Romney has a nice size family but has not declared himself as being against abortion so he isn't as apt to fix that issue any more than George W. Bush did when he ran as one of the most beloved, comical born-again Christian. He even had a Republican Congress to support him at one time. We found out he was born-again all right; right at the time he lay in that coffin declaring all of his sexual fantasies (as required to do as part of the Skull n Bones initiation) yet most Christians got suckered in by the crooked little grin and came away believing his term meant the same as the Christian understanding of it, therefore you heard it right out of the elephant's mouth, right? (not). The sooner we understand that what they say is the opposite of what they mean, the closer we may come to the truth. What Arlene wrote in her letter to Rene was about as blunt and to the point as one can get and there were 5 scriptures posted to prove the fact, that while we are obligated to live holy lives, associate only with like-minded people and produce good fruit, we are not told to choose who would be the leader, that was God's job. In fact, when looking over the kings of Israel, it was the people who wanted a king and chose Saul (bad choice). The next one is one directly chosen by God....David, a good choice. After that, the kings came through family lineage; some good, most bad. We don't even know the heart of the man that is seeking to be king but God does and he chooses the one for the purpose of what He has already planned to be fulfilled. Why not consider the fact that when you are wanting to satisfy that inner call to do something to fix things, read the Word of God and pray and then you will see that God is in midst of doing a work in America so let's let Him do His Job. Each step that is being taken right now will lead us closer and closer to the real Kingdom of God (which is in heaven) and not to try to set the corner-stone for it on earth. Jesus Christ is the corner-stone and He will set Himself up; no help need by any of us except let each one of do what we are called to do as Arlene pointed out in her scriptures. We are just in the way in our efforts to make ourselves do our part to chose the right guy this time. Want to know something? Both parties already have the agenda all set up, one plays the dirty cop and the other plays the nice copy. And you had nothing to do with it. You didn't even get a choice.We don't have to explain our selves to Our Father when we see Him face to face, He would probably say, "Shhhhh! I know, I know and thanks for trusting me to do the Job without your help."Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."gerlinda
