I am grateful the these four answers that were posted for me in regard to my question, "55“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” My question does not deal, what-so-ever with the trumps but with verse 55. If Death no longer has a sting nor Hades has a victory, then how can this be a Rapture scripture since we are taught there are people who will be left during the Great Tribulation, who will die in Christ. According to this scripture there is no more death with it's sting. Do you see what I am saying? This seems to be speaking of the Final Resurrection. It seems that, although the answers were varied, the common denominator is the victory over death no longer applies to those that have been redeemed, whether by rapture or death nor at the same time: it happens for each of us as a child of the Lord Yeshua. The person's new spiritual life was only just beginning and death had no victory over them.Thank to each one of you for your answers; Marilyn, yours will take a repeated read; not simple but deep. Lol!gerlindaMarilyn Agee: I can give you a simple answer. There are two Raptures. The second one is the final one. At that time, all believers will become immortal.Chris K: As for a prophetic implication to the passage, it would imply that those who experience this transformation/transfiguration will not experience the sting of death in any way, but, once again, all of this hinges on ones FAITH in God the Father to bring it to pass.GM: So, I would say this verse (15:55) is referring to the victory of the redeemed and the defeat of the plan of Hades.Rowina: I just know that Paul was referring specifically to those resurrected and taken to the kingdom in the rapture event when he said "Death, where is your sting?"
