The breath of God, SPIRIT, is ETERNAL, it never dies.All mankind, good and bad, when they are born into this world inherit the tangible quality of life, which is spirit and soul. The soul, which is the intellect, the will, and emotions, makes us self-conscious. That's what makes up who we are, the soul. The soul was created to be a "quickening spirit", that is a soul energized and directed by God, who IS Spirit!The Spirit breathed into our body makes us God conscious. The body allows us to move within our environment experiencing its' wonders via our Five senses, sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste.At the "fall" in the garden, Adam never lost his spirit, that LIFE that was breathed into him by God; he lost his God Consciousness, I.e. fellowship with God.The soul of man is a wonderful thing if empowered by God's Holy Spirit. They cannot be separated!Matthew 10:28, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul.Here's the deal. When Adam and Even sinned God had to clothe them both. God made "skins" for them. Before the clothing with skins, there is no mention of Adam having BLOOD in his being, only flesh and spirit/soul! Only flesh and spirit/soul can inhabit heaven. Adam and Eve walked and talked with God in the Garden of Heaven between heaven and earth. That is, They could move freely about in Heaven AND in Earth, God's Ground.That's why it's significant that when Jesus was on the cross, the Bible says He poured out His SOUL unto death. That which God clothed them with, in the Garden, BLOOD, that WAS their INTERNAL means of living because they no more had the Covering and Glory of God as their body. Their existence was NOW in the Blood that was in them, NOT God's sustaining Eternal Glory of SPIRIT!Jesus poured OUT that cursed BLOOD unto death, Jesus BEING a CURSE for us.In other words, the presence of actual Blood in our bodies means eventual Death, in physical life and in spiritual death! But Jesus replaced our cursed blood with HIS PERFECT Blood sacrifice on the Mercy Seat where the Father sees it NIGHT and DAY and is reminded that NO MORE penalty is required of mankind! They can now come boldly to the throne of Grace by the BLOOD of Gods dear Son! Whosoever Will!So, little babies, have a spirit and a soul( a growing personality and self-consciousness) when they are born, and if they died before the age of accountability, will, indeed, be in heaven. When they were conceived LIFE began that will endure for all eternity.I believe they will grow to maturity in Heaven because of the testimony of Jesus. He was born as a baby and GREW......And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.When we reach the age of accountability, the Holy Spirit adds to the "church", that Body of Believers, DAILY, such as should be saved! Acts 2:47We are all born from Adam and Eve. Being Born we possess Eternal Life in our SOUL, for God breathed into man and he became a LIVING SOUL.But where the soul ends up for all eternity depends on our relationship with Christ.Those that Believe on Christ and His redemption on their behalf are accepted by Him.Remember, believing means different things to different folks, For New Testament believers, it changed their life! Their whole life NOW was guided by their Lord, Jesus.We've, somehow, substituted, in these end days, an "easy" Belief-ism" thinking that's all there is to it, just give mental acceptance to Christ.Remember, be logical, here, and think! God GAVE UP His Only Son to suffer the Worst Suffering from Satan than any of us would EVER be called upon to suffer, and THEN, because of God's JUSTICE, Jesus had to Suffer ETERNAL WRATH from the Hand of His dear Father!That's why the Bible says that the WHOLE of our LIfe is a REASONABLE SACRIFICE if we are INDEED Saved!NO Works that we do SAVE US, but OH HOW GRATFUL we SHOULD BE!IT' a LIFE CHANGE! 100%Those that refuse Christ's offer of redemption will NOT be accepted by Him and their existence for eternity will be "away" from God's presence to be determined at the Great White Throne Judgment. Sure don't want to be in THAT crowd!Summing Up...Babies are not born with eternal lifeBabies and ALL Human Life is Eternal.The soul is not eternal, only the Spirit of God.The soul is LIVING because it is the Breath of God!We don't gain the Spirit of God till we are born again, born of the Spirit.Amen! We gain the Spirit of God when we Believe on Jesus which allows us to enjoy FELLOWSHIP with God once more!Adam and Eve did not pass down eternal life.No! They DID posses Eternal Life because God BREATHED into them His very own ETERNAL breath! They were barred from the Tree of Life so that they would notlive FOREVER, Eternally, in their sinful, cursed condition, with NO HOPE!Remember, they were both banished from the Garden of Eden before they could partake of the Tree of Life, which is the Spirit of God."Sin stripped them from "God's" Glory and fellowship, to vessels, bodies, that now lived because of BLOOD. The Bible says that ( according to Leviticus 17:14)their" life . NOW, was in the BLOOD, but Jesus poured out that curse of Blood on the Cross so thatthey could BE a Living SOUL again!Shalom & Maranatha!George E
