"FOR THOSE WHO STILL DO NOT THINK THAT GOD'S CALENDAR IS A 'LUNAR' CALENDAR...."

The months of both the Hebrew Sacred Calendar and the Hebrew Civil Calendar are exactly the same months. They all have the same names and they all begin on a New Moon  with ONE BIG difference: The month of Nisan is the 1st month of the Sacred Calendar as well as the 7th month of the Civil Calendar. The month of Tishri is the 1st month of the Civil Year Calendar as well as the 7th month of the Sacred Year Calendar. They are six months apart.

Exodus 12:2

"Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, "This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.....On the tenth day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb.....you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month....the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.....It is the Lord's Passover."

There is no doubt that the month of Nisan is the "beginning of months", or in other words, the 1st month of the Sacred Year. On God's Calendar the month of Nisan is the first month of the Sacred Year as ordained by God. Himself in Exodus 12:2

Remember how the ancient Jews determined what day Rosh Hashana/Feast of Trumpets came?  They had two witnesses confirm that they both saw the sliver of the New Moon  appear which determines the 1st day of Tishri which is the 7th month of the Sacred Year, which is Rosh Hashanah.

Where does it say in Scripture that: "the Lord and Israel do not now open day 1 of each month precisely at the New Moon now" ?

Is this Scriptural or do we just make things up as we go along now? Did the New Trestament cancel the ordinances of God in the Old Testament ? Do the practices and traditions of the modern Jews now supercede the Word of God as written in the Old Testament? I think not!

Jim...the New Moons are Eternal...of course there are events under the Law which do occur on the New Moon for sure, but because the Lord and Israel do not now open Day 1 of each month precisely at the New Moon now, does not diminish Biblically-mentioned events taking place on the New Moon.  I would not be surprised to find out that in the new heavens and the new earth - the great "8th" day of Eternity - when the Lord has set all Creation back again into 'perfect order' - that He might arrange the calendar anew to begin the first day of each month at the New Moon.

At the time those verses below were written- it can be proved from history that the nation of Israel was observing the very same Fall Civil calendar which they are on today.  Back then, during the regime of the Temples, Israel observed those laws of the New Moon on their Civil calendar of today, at least since 432 B.C., for sure with the national acceptance of the institution of the 19 year Metonic cycle.  That was God's way for now of reconciling 'perfect order' between the lunar and solar calendar.
