"My thoughts on why Tabernacles may be it for the body of Christ."

Hello:

I have been watching for a number of years, experiencing the emotional roller coaster ride each year as feasts and anniversaries of Biblical events come and go.  I am sure many of you can relate.

It is not like we saw rapture parallels on a whim.  There has been a lot of thought and research in trying to anticipate God's timing of a rescue event as many looked at the types, shadows, and even celestial events.  It has been a difficult process.

When the Feast of Trumpets came and went, I came to the point of feeling that there is no way for me to discern which type or shadow will actually be it.  The "roller coaster" loomed before me with no end in sight until the actually moment when Christ would snatch us.  I was at a loss.

I was asking God (and also kind of talking to myself as well) "Where are we off?  What are we not seeing?"  Days later a thought came to me.  I leave it for you to discern what follows before our only True Teacher.

The bottom line is this.  Because we have been given Christ Himself, the only thing we are waiting for is our new bodies.  All the other types and shadows have already been completely fulfilled in Christ.  Ephesians 1:3 says that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.  Paul expresses that we have been made complete in Him, that those who are the Lords are one in Spirit with Him (marriage intimacy language), and that we are already seated with Him in heavenly places because of our complete union with Him.

All we are waiting for is new bodies.  When we get these then our experience will be able to "catch up" with the more substantive Spirit Reality, such as finally being able to feel Jesus' arms around each of us.

So, in my mind, Tabernacles is the only Feast that applies to us in terms of waiting for it's fulfillment.  Right now we are living in temporary, soil-based body-shelters.

Israel, as a nation, hasn't even experienced Jesus as Passover yet.

As new creations in Christ Jesus, our inheritance got us "jumped" all the way to after the 1000 year reign, when God will create a new heaven and a new earth (New Creation-ing).  In Spirit, we are already in the eighth day, so to speak.  Israel has to go through the entire revelatory Feast process one step at a time as Jesus is revealed to them in each Feast's true fulfillment.  They will catch up to us when the remnant Israel nation (and other nations) enter the "eighth day" after the Millennium.

Why were we "jumped"?  Because all of God's promises to Israel will not be revoked, and there was nothing left over for the body of Christ in the former earth centered creation.  That is why God could give us the Eighth Day New Creation reality in Spirit and also give us new bodies that are celestial bodies made for the heavenly places, but not glorified earth-based bodies, like I think Israel will eventually get.

So I am keeping my focus on the seventh or possibly even the eighth day of Tabernacles.  There is a stretch of a number of possible days for it because I am not certain if God starts His month with the concealed moon or the sighted new moon.

Some of what I express is just speculation.  If God validates any of it to you, then good, and just let the rest of it go.

Sincerely,

Douglas Henney
