Jesus connected the temple with His body (as in the reference to His resurrection in 3 days).  Paul also taught that the church is the Body of Christ.  So are there any parallels of the temple to the church?  Is there a mention of the feast of Tabernacles with the temple that might apply to us?  Is the picture of Jesus going to the temple in secret a parallel to the rapture?  I don't have the answer, but it something to consider.

 

John 7:2
Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

John 7:

¹⁰ But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. ¹¹ Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, “Where is He?” ¹² And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.” ¹³ However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.

¹⁴ Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught.

 

Is this a parallel for us to bear in mind?  I really don't know, but it is good to be watching.
