I'm not trying to be ridiculous but this just feels too synchronicitous to be ignored. Once again I have my Direct TV radio playing as I am reading the Five Doves Letters this morning and I am reading Randy's feelings about the many years of missed dates and the heavy disappointment that has inevitably come with that for us all and I too share the same dilemma though not to your level since I don't have the kind of job you have; and Randy I really feel for you and don't know how you do it. But in all seriousness as I was reading your post Randy right here:Randy (17 Oct 2012)
"Emotions about the Nearness of the Rapture: Wants, desires, longings and needs---"I heard a familiar tune playing on the TV radio but was unsure as to what song it was so I glanced at the TV to see its title and was totally amused to see it was "Flying Home" by Lionel Hampton! It's an instrumental so there are no words but the title says volumes anyway! Randy's post there is all about the desire to be flying home but that by itself would not get me to write this but immediately after that song finishes I go on to read Randy's next post where he shares how hard it is to live in such a negative world and how are we to cope in times like these:Randy (17 Oct 2012)
"When right was wrong and Wrong was Right....."Where Randy says things like:____________________________WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS WORLD?????
I get so sad...... there are so many "bad" things going on in the world.....and it just doesn't seem to matter......Ethics have been thrown down the toilet, and NOBODY seems to be learning their lessons from this......IN the world of local news.....and national news...
EVERY DAY........some child or young woman is being kidnapped....only to be found dead with in a few days or weeks. DEAR GOD!!! What the heck is going on........I DO understand Free Will.....and if you are going to give humans Free Will...then EVIL choices wil be a part of that outcome. I guess I just long for this world the way it was originally created...... ah, one day!!PS>....OK then......I am going to try to minimize watching the news for 1 month....we'll see how that works for me!! (I do, however HAVE TO WATCH the market news and the Middle East......)___________________The emphasis on the above word "minimize" is mine (not Randy's) by bolding and underlining it to show how this very next song that played on my radio fits right in with Randy's subsequent post and when it happens two songs in a row, then is when I have to just go ahead and post this. So, after the song "Flying Home" plays then the very next song to play is, and this is while I am reading Randy's post quoted from above, it is a song called "Accentuate The Positive" and it is a vocal and the words were being sung but I didn't catch the name of the guy who was singing this version that was playing but here are the words:Words and Music by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer
Gather 'round me, everybody
Gather 'round me while I'm preachin'
Feel a sermon comin' on me
The topic will be sin and that's what I'm ag'in'
If you wanna hear my story
Then settle back and just sit tight
While I start reviewin'
The attitude of doin' right
You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene
To illustrate my last remark
Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark
What did they do just when everything looked so dark?
Man, they said "We'd better accentuate the positive"...Randy, when I began dating my wife she never watched the news and I did but eventually her way won me over and now I never watch it either and guess what I don't miss it at all. I do learn of current events by being on line most times anyway but the constant barrage of negativity is not there that you get by a daily dose of TV news and I am glad not to have it. I would love to hear of your result if you cut down on the news for a month and I hope we are in the sky by then so you can find me up there and tell me how it went, okay brother?!We are with you all the way though so hang in there and it can't be long now.
