RE:  So some people are hung up on second Thessalonians chapter 2 talk that says the day of the Lord can’t come until the man of lawlessness is revealed and the rebellion occurs. 

 

^{2 Thess. 2:3} "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (the day of Christ) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, . . "

 

The "falling way" was incorrectly translated.  The correct translation is "caught up."  The translators didn't know what to make of being 'caught up' and, therefore, mistranslated it as 'falling away.'  "Caught up" is the word used for Rapture in I Thess. 4:17 which says, "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
