The Romans totally destroyed the city in 70AD. This what I just wrote
to a clueless teacher!
Josephus says "the Romans left not one stone upon another so that you
would not know there had been a city there."
   Jerusalem has even been devastated after the Roman empire too. All
the holy sites are fake, no one knows where they really were! In the
4th century, Constantine's mother visited and told them where to build
todays holy sites!!!!
   Jesus city streets are 30 feet below todays streets. Josephus says
today's temple mount is fake as well!  Jerusalem's walls were built
by the Turk Suleiman 500 years ago!
    Go look up in wiki ancient cities "tells" or levels.  In all ancient
cities, there is the rubble of a series of cities buried under each
other.  The Troy of Homer famously has several such layers going back
at least five thousand years!
    Todays Roman Forum is also fake! After the fall of the Roman
empire, the Forum was used as a quarry for stone to build churchs and
whatever. St Peters was built from the blocks of ancient temples. The
recreation of the Forum was done in the 18th and 19th century for
tourism. Same thing happened at England"s Stonehedge, in the early
19th century, local landowners stood fallen stones upright and put the
crosspieces back on top. They had been knocked over by Noah's Flood!!!
