Sudden Destruction in the Shadow of Peace!!!
For a moment imagine that you were in Germany as 11 November 1938 approached. This date would have marked 20 years since the (Peace) Armistice had been signed on 11 November 1918 However, any hope for peace, especially for Jews in Germany, disappeared in a night (9 and 10 November 1938) and the following day, called KRISTALLNACHT!!!
Persecution of Jews, already evident, suddenly turned violent and well before the outbreak of WWW2 (1 September 1939). I have provided two links to information on Kristallnacht further down, together with excerpts. In brief
· Jewish homes, hospitals and schools were ransacked as the attackers demolished buildings with sledgehammers. The rioters destroyed 267 synagogues throughout Germany, Austria and the Sudetenland (in Czechoslovakia). Over 7,000 Jewish businesses were damaged or destroyed, and 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and incarcerated in concentration camps.
This stands as an ongoing warning as to how events can suddenly change the world we live in. This warning is echoed in 1 Thessalonians 5 v 3. When people talk of peace, Sudden destruction!! Restlessness and uncertainty are evident around the world. We do not know what will take place this November, but we do know that world events are strongly signalling that Jesus Return is IMMINENT!!
1 Thessalonians 5 v 3 For when they say, Peace and safety! then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. They shall not escape (NKJV).
While they are saying, Peace and safety [all is well and secure!] then [in a moment unforeseen] destruction will come upon them suddenly like labour pains on a woman with child, and they will absolutely not escape. (Amplified)
Will we learn from history? We understand from Biblical prophecy that the Antichrist will form, then (SUDDENLY) break a covenant with Israel. He unveils a statue of Himself in the Temple, declares that He is God and then seeks to destroy the Jews. Kristallnacht warns how quickly this can take place. The God of Israel watches over a remnant!! Daniel sees this Time and Revelation 12 warns us of this persecution.

Everyone who is found written in the book (NKJV).Revelation 12 v 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Kristallnacht, literally, "Night of Crystal," is often referred to as the "Night of Broken Glass." The name refers to the wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms which took place on November 9 and 10, 1938. This wave of violence took place throughout Germany, annexed Austria, and in areas of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia recently occupied by German troops.

Kristallnacht or the Night of Broken Glass, also called the November Pogrom(s), was a pogrom against Jews carried out by SA paramilitary forces and civilians throughout Nazi Germany on 910 November 1938. The German authorities looked on without intervening. The name Kristallnacht ("Crystal Night") comes from the shards of broken glass that littered the streets after the windows of Jewish-owned stores, buildings and synagogues were smashed.
British historian Martin Gilbert wrote that no event in the history of German Jews between 1933 and 1945 was so widely reported as it was happening, and the accounts from foreign journalists working in Germany sent shockwaves around the world. The Times of London observed on 11 November 1938: "No foreign propagandist bent upon blackening Germany before the world could outdo the tale of burnings and beatings, of blackguardly assaults on defenceless and innocent people, which disgraced that country yesterday."
The pretext for the attacks was the assassination of the Nazi[10] German diplomat Ernst vom Rath by Herschel Grynszpan, a 17-year-old German-born Polish Jew living in Paris. Historians view Kristallnacht as a prelude to the Final Solution and the murder of six million Jews during the Holocaust.[12]
Kristallnacht changed the nature of the Nazi persecution of Jews from economic, political, and social to physical with beatings, incarceration, and murder; the event is often referred to as the beginning of the Holocaust. An account cited that Hitler's green light for Kristallnacht was made with the belief that it would help him realize his ambition of getting rid of the Jews in Germany. Prior to this large-scale and organized violence against the Jews, the Nazi's primary objective was to eject them from Germany, leaving their wealth behind. In the words of historian Max Rein in 1988, "Kristallnacht came...and everything was changed."
