Something is NOT Right in Israel

From the above article we learned that "massive quantities of arms are coming in through Judea and Samaria (via Jordan)...so the Iranian proxies and anti-Israel forces are concentrating their efforts on the much longer and less protected seam line area (the 500 meters from the security barrier between Israel and the P.A)..They are gathering ammunition, drawing up plans and waiting for the appropriate moment...."  It's been noted that "the security fence has been sabotaged repeatedly, to the point that many kilometers of the barrier have been completely demolished."  Arabs are penetrating the seam line and attacking Israelis...Israelis are concerned about a follow up attack from the P.A. worse than October 7, 2023.

 

One major problem is that the Israeli government is still "providing the Arabs with economic incentives not to attack us.  We saw along the Gaza border that that is a completely false assumption, but that's still an assumption that forms the basis of Israel's policy."  Israel's enemies need to be treated like enemies.

 

Israel's new defence minister Israel Katz was sworn in, following Gallant's abrupt 'departure'.  He "confirmed the conscription of thousands of ultra-Orthodox men...7,000 conscription notices will be sent out in stages starting on Sunday...Strictly religious men were exempt from compulsory military service in Israel for decades...Israel's Supreme Court finally issued a judgement this summer confirming that ultra-Orthodox men should be drafted into military service."

This isn't sitting well with the ultra-Orthodox that have supported Netanyahu's government.

 

Turkey just cut diplomatic ties with Israel....Turkey's move will affect alliances in the region and change the geopolitics.  The U.S. is at odds on how to respond to this move by Erdogan...since Turkey is a NATO ally.  Erdogan has threatened to enter into the ME war on Iran's side in the past....

 

Looks like DM Israel Katz has a lot of work to do to protect Israel and Israelis.  Will he get the seam line area repaired/protected in time? As for the Hezbollah war, he said "there will be no ceasefire and no pause in Lebanon until war objectives are met".  He wants to disarm Hezbollah, push them beyond the Litani River and allow Israeli residents to return to their homes in northern Israel.

Doubt Katz can help with Turkey relations...Erdogan has his sights set on Jerusalem.
