I have believed that at some point, the world would come against Jerusalem, however, I have always been baffled as to how that will happen.

Yes, I know that it says the LORD will gather them, but believing something and understanding how it happens are two different things.

However, I have recently discovered that this current generation may be capable of being used that way.

How quickly have so many people, in so many countries, been experiencing either an awakening of latent antisemitism, or succumbed to the same spirit?

Also, there is an alarming number of young people, with little or no knowledge of the LORD's plans for Israel, being filled with rage against the LORD' chosen people.

So, that heads of state, and even the head of the UN are beginning to beat the drums, and to speak of Israel worse than the previous generation did of the nazis.

What could happen that will push them over the top, causing them to erupt?

Back in 1990, in response to Iraq's move against Kuwait, it did the following:

"UNITED NATIONS, NOV. 29 -- The Security Council today gave the United States and other countries with forces arrayed against Iraq the most sweeping authorization to engage in warfare under U.N. sponsorship since the 1950 Korean war."

"The resolution states that unless Iraq, by Jan. 15, fully complies with previous council resolutions calling for its unconditional withdrawal from Kuwait and release of foreigners, member states may 'use all necessary means . . . to restore international peace and security in the area.' "

Could something happen, that would propel world leaders, and the head of the UN, to make a similar resolution against Israel?

And if so, and whatever it may be, the LORD, himself, would be bringing it to pass:

Zephaniah 3:8b  for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger:

Zechariah 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

  3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

  9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:2a For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle;

  3a Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations,

  12a And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem;

  14b  and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together,

For that battle, the UN would live up to its title of "United Nations".

However, it will not be like the UN action against North Korea, nor against Iraq, but the action of those forces will be similar to the recent action of Hamas:

Zechariah 13:8a And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die;

Zechariah 14:2b  and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished;

Does that kind of viciousness simply happen, or does it take like 4 generations to sink down to that depraved, violent level?

Proverbs 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.

  12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

  13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.

  14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

Either this is describing a single, wicked generation, or it's describing a downhill slide, from one generation to the next, ending in the extreme.

That downhill slide to the extreme is also mirrored in Romans 1.

So, are all the young people, around the world, that we are witnessing being filled with rage against Israel, the ones who will drafted by their nations to come against Israel?

Also, the UN maybe planning to have an international court war crimes tribunal against Israel.

However, when Jesus returns, the exact opposite will be done:

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

  32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Instead of a tribunal against Israel, it will be the judgment of the sheep nations and the goat nations.

And it will go very badly for the goat nations:

Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

And the nations that survive that judgment, Jesus shall rule them with a rod of iron.
