You are absolutely right Gary. There is only one ‘named/noun' used as the subject’ in this whole passage concerning Daniel’s Prophecy of 70 weeks, and that is ‘Messiah the Prince.’ The rest of the ‘he’s’ are all pronouns referring back to Him.
Anyone who puts an ‘antiChrist/he’ in this passage has no respect either for the English language or history!
Also, it is 'the people' of ‘the prince’ (Messiah), who is to come, who destroyed the city and the sanctuary! N.B. The Jews started a civil war in Jerusalem long before Titus/Romans got there.

The Romans just finished off what the rebel Jews, i.e., Zealots and Sicarii had started.

My interpretation of the 70th week is that Jesus did indeed bring the sacrifice and offering to an end ‘in the middle of the week,’ (AD 30) because after His crucifixion and resurrection, the temple became obsolete, and it would soon be destroyed. Jesus predicted it…
However, I also believe the preaching of the Gospel during the second half of the 70th week fulfilled the promise that the whole period of 490 years was for Daniel’s people and the Holy City of Jerusalem. That 70th week ended with Stephen’s martyrdom in AD 34.
