"Yet more thoughts on Hanukkah"

In Daniel 10 and 11, I believe Jesus explains to Daniel details of the future as it relates to Israel/Judah.  The following set of verses from chapter 11 seem to describe the time of Antiochus:

29“At the appointed time he will return and come into the South, but [ak]this last time it will not turn out the way it did before30For ships of [al]Kittim will come against him; therefore he will withdraw in fear and will return and curse the holy covenant and take action; so he will come back and pay attention to those who abandon the holy covenant31Forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination [am]of desolation32And by smooth words he will [an]turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action33And [ao]those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder for many days34Now when they fall they will be granted a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy35And some of [ap]those who have insight will fall, to refine, purge, and [aq]cleanse them until the end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.

In studying this prior, I observed the words in the last verse above "until the end time".  After this the chapter continues with the following:

36“Then the king will do as he pleases, and he will exalt himself and boast against every god and will speak [ar]dreadful things against the God of gods; and he will be successful until the indignation is finished, because that which is determined will be done37And he will show no regard for the [as]gods of his fathers or for the [at]desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will boast against them all38But [au]instead he will honor a god of fortresses, a god whom his fathers did not know; he will honor him with gold, silver, precious stones, and treasures39And he will take action against the strongest of fortresses with the help of a foreign god; he will give great honor to [av]those who acknowledge him and will make them rulers over the many, and will parcel out land for a price.

40“And at the end time the king of the South will wage war with him, and the king of the North will storm against him with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he will enter countries, overflow them, and pass through41He will also enter the [aw]Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall; but these will be rescued out of his hand: Edom, Moab, and the foremost of the sons of Ammon42Then he will reach out with his hand against other countries, and the land of Egypt will not escape43But he will [ax]gain control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; and Libyans and Ethiopians will follow at his [ay]heels44But rumors from the East and from the North will terrify him, and he will go out with great wrath to eliminate and [az]annihilate many45And he will pitch the tents of his royal pavilion between the seas and the beautiful Holy Mountain; yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.

In verse 36 above I noted the word "then" which in my mind followed "until the end time".  To me, there was a long pause in the account from when Antiochus was on the scene to the arrival of a future Antiochus-like person at the end time.

In other words, I came to the conclusion that the transition into the judgement years in front of us would begin at a Hanukkah.  It is my understanding that Youtuber and Messianic Rabbi Mark Biltz thinks similarly but he references Jesus' warnings in John 10.  Youtuber and Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn also has good teachings on this.

(Along these lines I also keep something else in my mind (on the back shelf so to speak).  Not long ago there was a president who had no love for Israel at all yet made a point to light the Hanukkah menorah each year.  My intuition back then was that he was looking forward to a future opportunity along the lines of what Antiochus attempted.  He was not celebrating the Jewish victory over their enemies.  With the current administration and who is likely running things behind him, I think that prior person is very much still on the scene to attempt his version of what a future fulfillment of a Hanukkah is to be like.)

An additional detail about Hanukkah is that the first day of the 10th month takes place within it.  Esther went into the presence of the king seen in Esther 2:

16So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus in his royal palace in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.

It is my understanding that when only a month for a date is expressed in the Bible but no specific day is mentioned, then it is referring to the first day of the month.

My thought is, "Might we go into the presence of the King of Kings on that day?  In the middle of Hanukkah?"

Another event happened on the same date, but it is described as the first day of the fourth month because this is before the exodus event.  This detail is from Jubilees 3:

32. And on the new moon of the fourth month, Adam and his wife went forth from the Garden of Eden.

Because of what Jesus accomplished, might the anniversary of when Adam and Eve left the manifest presence of God in the Garden be the very time we are brought into the presence of God?

Lastly, as I look for possibilities as to when Jesus might come for us, I also try to see if a 40 day transition might be tied to that timing so as to allow Jesus (perhaps with some of us) to, in some way, fulfill the 40 day warning sign of judgment from Jonah to Ninevah.  Jesus mentions this in Luke 11:30 as He was also describing a return of His in the future:

For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.

Now, I observe that for the Esther and for the Adam and Eve date clues, I have a first day of a tenth month (per Israel's calendar) and a first day of the fourth month (per the nations' calendar).  Might there be an insight if I flip those?  Might there be a detail clue if I look at Israel's first day of their fourth month which would then be the first day of Noah's (the nations') tenth month.  I believe there is.

(I think I can do this because of how the Lord's Feasts are somewhat tied together, especially as I compare the first and the seventh months, which are six months apart.  I believe God set it up this way because His view is for the whole world and He took into account the opposite seasons of the southern hemisphere compared to the northern hemisphere.)

Recall when Israel embraced the bad report of the unbelieving spies.  They were to go into the promised land on about the 11 of Av.  The spies went through the land for 40 days per the direction of God.  That would mean that God told them to check out the promised land on the first day of Israel's fourth month.  40 days later, instead of a blessing, a judgment began.  For the moment keep this mind.

In terms of Noah and the first day of his tenth month, see the following from chapter 8 of Genesis:

5And the water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.

6Then it came about at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made7and he sent out a raven, and it [b]flew here and there until the water was dried up [c]from the earth8Then he sent out a [d]dove, to see if the water was low on the [e]surface of the land9but the dove found no resting place for the sole of its foot, so it returned to him in the ark, for the water was on the [f]surface of all the earth

Noah released the raven and dove on the 11th day of his 11th month, with this date being the same day of the year as to when Israel was to go into the promised land but instead had to experience judgment.

In my thinking, the above release of the raven is a type/shadow of God releasing the spirit of the antichrist via the first seal's white horse rider.  The dove represents the Holy Spirit going through out the earth but not being able to rest because the Spirit of Jesus is not in any of the people.  The Spirit will be release by the Father from heaven because earlier it had arrived there in us.  The key detail in Genesis 8 is the 40 days took place after the first day of Noah's tenth month.  This would have laid over the same 40 days on Israel's calendar when the spies were spying out the land.  At the end of both 40 days, a judgement began.  In one case, those who were to enter the promised land could not.  And in the other case at the end of the 40 days, the raven was released and the Holy Spirit found no place to rest.

Tying it all together, on one hand the middle date of the upcoming Hanukkah has a theme pointing to our entering the presence of the King. And also thinking in terms of similar dates, the middle of the upcoming Hanukkah might also be the beginning of a 40 day transition that ends with the judgment years beginning.  Might these 40 days be also when Jesus fulfills the sign of Jonah to Ninevah?  If we go on the first day of the tenth month this year, or about December, then the 40 days will end, counting inclusively , on January 21st.

What is very significant about January 21st is that when the sun get to its position in the sky on that date, it will also be at the very same place where the very long lasting blood moon was right next to a very large Mars (Mars was in orbital proximity to the Earth), bright (like the full moon, Mars was opposite our Sun and so was fully lit up) and noticeable (Mars just so happened to be experience a planet wide dust storm which increased its brightness and apparent size) on July 27/28 in 2018.

I do not believe that sign back in 2018 was without meaning.  It was a warning of future judgment.  Back then I did not know how to interpret its timing.  For years after I struggle to comprehend it timing.  I am now wondering if it was pointing to a future January 21st.  I am thinking it might be this coming January 21st.

For what it is worth.

God bless you.
