For anyone who is not sure how long the day
of the Lord is, I can repost Zephaniah 2 to illustrate.
Through the prophet Zephaniah, God has told us the day of
the Lord's anger shall begin with Gaza, Ashkelon, Moab,
Ammon. This event shall occur right at the beginning of 7
years tribulation. This is the fulfillment of three
shepherds war and the 4th transgression in Amos 1-2. God
then proceeds His anger to Ethiopia. This event takes
place after Antichrist invades Israel in mid-trib. He
shall go after Egypt, Ethiopia and Libya these north
African nations per Daniel 11:42-43. Then God concludes
His anger by bringing His judgment to Nineveh. According
to Nahum 1, Antichrist the wicked counseller shall choose
Nineveh as his religious headquarter. God shall bring
destruction to this city. Revelation 18:2 Babylon the
great is fallen, is fallen!! At this time, it is very
close to Jesus' return to earth.
By laying out His anger on these three
different places at the beginning of tribulation, mid-trib
and end-trib, God is telling us the day of the Lord's
anger shall last for the entire 7 years tribulation, or
simply put, the day of the Lord is a 7 years event.
