After developing a profoundly bad disposition with all the dreary news, I am overjoyed to announce that Almighty God has come to my rescue. He has reminded me, in very many ways, that He is the Creator of all things. Even evil. He controls all the evil. He created the evil. Once we fully understand that, we can rest in the knowledge that these evil, thuggishly stupid politicians are merely doing the will of Almighty God. And that is the profound truth. Because we have been gifted with free will, a large number of people have to be shown the consequences of evil. They have to learn the hard way. And if there isn't a 'hard way' then how are they going to learn or make a conscious choice?
This is why believers are not appointed to wrath. We don't need to be put through the wringer to believe. The only people to be put through the wringer of wrath are the stubborn and spiritually lazy. Rabbi Glazerson made a profound point when he highlighted this scripture: - Proverbs 21:1 "Like channelled water is the mind of a king in the LORD's Hand. He diverts it to whatever He wishes". Did you get that? ALL leaders and kings are chosen and enthroned by Almighty God. Good AND evil kings and leaders. Their minds are diverted and controlled by Almighty God. This is not to torture human beings but to show everyone that purity, goodness and everything beautiful comes from Almighty God. BUT - having free will - everybody has to make a conscious choice. Which is why things get uglier and uglier, darker and darker. Until it gets SO ugly and SO dark (great tribulation) that many will be saved, having been forced to make a choice. I believe this is why the sun sported a huge grin in late October. The sun's nose looked like a number 8. I like to think that this indicated what a joke the mid-term elections are. Almighty God holds them in derision. Laughing at their evil antics.
The actress, Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) sent out a beautiful message to Christians who may be despairing over the election results. I was delighted to learn that she is a born-again Christian. I always did like her. *Big Smiles*.
The 2nd link holds some scriptures that explain why God allows evil. We have NOTHING to fear or fret over. It's all theatre - with clowns taking the leading roles. We need NOT fear or be troubled. We should, instead, be watching, waiting and praying for the peace of Jerusalem and for the world. We can do this with deep calm and serenity. Secure in the knowledge that Almighty God controls EVERY SINGLE THING. Remember - the darker and uglier it all gets - the closer we are to our LORD Jesus returning.
