Can the use of the term beast, in the book of Revelation, be a reflection of his character?

Contra-wise, Jesus is referred to as the Lamb, 27 times in the book of Revelation.

That definitely shows his character, and his bloody, sacrificial death for us.

So, instead of calling the antichrist, "the antichrist", the book refers to him 37 times as the beast.

Does that reflect his character, deadly, cruel, without compassion or mercy, rapacious, and voracious?
