THE GENTILES TREAD THE TEMPLE AND THE HOLY CITY  FOR FORTY-TWO MONTHS  .......

To properly understand this, you must first begin by reading the previous Scripture to Revelation  11:1 which is Revelation 10:11 that states, "And he said unto me , THOU MUST PROPHESY AGAIN  before many peoples , and nations, and  tongues,  and kings, "  The key word in this Scripture  is "AGAIN" . John prophesied " BEFORE" about this obviously  Gentile group in Revelation  7:9 where he called  them "A  GREAT  MULTITUDE" standing before the throne ,  and before the Lamb IN HEAVEN. So they are already IN HEAVEN , and NOT ON EARTH. Now read Revelation 11:1-2  knowing that the "Temple of God" and the "Holy City" spoken of in this Scripture are the "Temple of God" and  the "Holy City" that are IN HEAVEN,  and NOT ON EARTH  according to :

Revelation 11:2

"But the court which is without the temple ( in heaven ) leave out ,  and measure it not, for it is given unto THE GENTILES ( the raptured Gentile church in heaven  ), and the holy city  shall they tread under foot forty and two months."

SO, THERE  YOU HAVE IT:

The only way that GENTILES can be in heaven is to be resurrected/raptured  TO HEAVEN as His Body of Christ Church . Therefore the "GREAT MULTITUDE" of GENTILES spoken of in Rev 7:9 is the same group called  "THE GENTILES"  in  Rev 11:2.  BOTH groups are The Lord's raptured Church of "GENTILES" which will be in heaven for forty-two  months, and then return with Jesus at His  Second Coming.
