Like the pattern of
the things that Moses was to make for the tabernacle, are there
other patterns in heaven?
For example are the seven lamps in heaven a
pattern for something on the earth?
Revelation 4:5 And out of the throne
proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven
lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are
the seven Spirits of God.
In heaven, there are seven lamps, could they be
the pattern for the seven candlesticks on earth?
Revelation 1:20c and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are
the seven churches.
That would then be a new testament pattern, but
was there also an old testament pattern of the same heavenly
seven lamps?
Exodus 25:31 And thou shalt make
a candlestick of pure gold: of
beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft,
and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers,
shall be of the same.
37 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light
the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against
it.
40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was
shewed thee in the mount.
In the tabernacle, on the candlestick, were not
the seven lamps to give light, burning the oil, a picture of
the Spirit?
Then in the new testament, are not the seven
candlesticks, representing all the churches, are to do the
same, by the Holy Ghost?
Numbers
8:2
Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the
lamps, the seven lamps shall give
light over against the candlestick.
Then didn't Zechariah, at the time of the
rebuilding of the temple, picture something similar?
Zechariah
4:2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I
have looked, and behold a candlestick all of
gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven
lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven
lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel,
saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,
saith the LORD of hosts.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for
they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the
hand of Zerubbabel with those
seven; they are the eyes of the LORD,
which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Why did it say, "those
seven; they are the eyes of the
LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth"?
Was it because of the following?
Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and,
lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,
and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had
been slain, having seven horns and seven
eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth
into all the earth.
Are not the seven eyes a picture of the
omniscience and omnipresence of the Lord Jesus?
