I completely agree with you that there are only 3 ½ years or 42 months remaining to be fulfilled in Daniel’s 70th week. I appreciate what you write on Five Doves.
Many Christians mistakenly believe there are 7 years remaining to be fulfilled. These Christians believe that God’s two witnesses will prophesy for 1,260 days or 42 months during the first half of their 7-year tribulation. These Christians belief that the first half of their 7-year tribulation ends when God’s two witnesses are killed and then ascend back to Heaven. These Christians believe the second half of their 7-year tribulation begins when Satan and his antichrist are given power for the last half of the tribulation (1,260 days or 42 months) which ends at the second coming of Christ. These Christians then add the 42 months of God’s two witnesses during the first half of the tribulation to the Satan’s 42 months during the last half of the tribulation to mistakenly conclude that there are 84 months or 7 years remaining to be fulfilled in Daniel’s 70th week.
But the scriptures teach us differently. The scriptures tell us that God’s two witnesses shall prophesy for 1,260 days or 42 months or 3 ½ years. Now read Revelation 11:11-15 below to correctly understand when God’s two witnesses ascend to Heaven after completing their 1,260 days or 42-month testimony.
Revelation 11:
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly (immediately). 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (When the 7 angel sounds, the great tribulation is finished).
In conclusion, scripture clearly tells us that God’s two witnesses ascend just before the seventh angel sounds which ends the tribulation. From the end, we can determine the beginning. God’s two witnesses will begin their testimony, 1, 260 days before the Second Coming of Christ Jesus.
Notice that the opening of the seventh seal, precedes the 7 trumpets and the 3 woes - Revelation 8: 1 And when he had opened the seventh seal …..
Notice that trumpets 1-5 is woe number 1 - Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded ….. Revelation 9:12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
Notice that trumpet 6 is woe number 2 - Revelation 9:13 And the sixth angel sounded ….. Revelation 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly (immediately).
