"Part 8, a correction and also one final thought"

This is a continuation from my 7 posts last week.

After I submitted those posts, that night, I realized one thing I presented was not accurate in my explanation.

I had expressed that this upcoming 17th day of the 9th month, per the popular jewish calendar, was when the 70 years of Babylon end and the 71st year "begins".  The point was that in the same way God told Jeremiah that He would fulfill His good word to Israel after Babylon's 70 years, that this is, in my thinking, a type/shadow of God also granting the end-of-the-church-age Babylon (UN based in the US) 70 years before He judges them and refocuses on dealing with the Chosen Remnant in Israel-Judah during this upcoming Hanukkah.  The beginning point to this "70 years" was when the UN General Assembly created their partition plan for the land of Israel back on November 29, 1947.  That was also the 17th of the 9th month on the jewish calendar.

However, last year was when the 70th year ended and the 71st year began.  Yet, no judgement against Babylon happened last year on that anniversary.

I then thought of how God described Solomon building the temple for 7 years.  In I Kings 6:38, it says it took seven years.  However, if you look at the months, it actually took seven and a half years.  The six months in the 8th year were not included in the reckoning.

This way of "counting" is similar to how we "count" how old we are.  I am 56 but I am in my 57th year.  I will actually be considered 56 all the way to my next birthday, when my 57th year actually ends.

So, even though we are in the 71st year of the rebellion that God granted Babylon, that rebellion is still "70 years old", all the way to the upcoming 17th day of the 9th month (our November 25th), or November 29th on the Gregorian calendar, when the 71st year ends.

Why might have God "counted" Babylon's 70 years this way?  In a word, mercy.  Think of God's desire to not bring judgement on Ninevah during Jonah's time.  God pointed out to a disappointed Jonah the number of people that would have experienced His judgement.  How much more so might God feel about bringing judgement on the end-of-the-church-age Babylon involving magnitudes-more people?  God's "counting" Babylon's 70 years this way basically granted them another "year" of time.  It was His mercy.

I also see a one year time of mercy in Daniel 4.  Daniel told the king that the dream's meaning was decreed by the Most High.  Yet, Daniel appealed to the king to repent, which presumed a window of time, which was not part of the dream's message.  And what happened?  The king was given 12 months of mercy before the decree was put into effect immediately.

I am thinking the same applies to now.

So, I am still thinking that the 17th day of the 9th month per the jewish calendar, or the 17th day of the 2nd/3rd month on the nations' calendar valid calendars, or November 25th, is when God will start to bring final judgement on Babylon, likely with water per the type/shadow of Noah.

I mentioned in my prior posts that during the seven days of the cloud, yet after the important 3rd cloud day wherein the gleanings are "sprinkled", that God will finally destroy Babylon in one day.  I am thinking that it be on November 29th, the ending of the 70 years of rebellion per the Gregorian calendar, or day 5 of the cloud-gathering week.  This final judgment will likely be with fire.

Water judgement first, fire judgement last.  Days of Noah, days of Lot.  A smaller scale pattern of what God will do during the 7 years of judgement.

Why the seeming 5 days from when judgement on Babylon starts to when it is completely destroyed?  As I read the judgements against Babylon in Jeremiah 50 and 51, I observe a couple exhortations for, what I believe to be some of the Chosen Remnant of Israel-Judah, to flee Babylon quickly and head to Israel before the final judgment on Babylon falls.  That requires at least a short window of time.  The events on November 25th would serve as a catalyst to get these folks moving out before the final date of the 29th.

Unrelated, I found out through a watching brother's research, whose name is Jaco, that December 1st "might" be when Trump's peace plan is scheduled to be announced, and the timing of this might be why Netanyahu held back from a full blown, large scale attack on Gaza recently.  This is the before Hanukkah begins, or the 24th day of the 9th month.  This is the same date (possibly also for this year?) that God promised, per Haggai 2, to shake the heavens and the earth and the nations.  In my understanding, this is the day after the cloud's seventh and last day, when the entire Body of Christ will be safely home with Jesus.

We'll soon find out.
